I finally have a new netbook
It's the Asus EEE 1215N - 'oh sure that one![/sarcasm]' I hear everyone think now so I'll tell a bit about it
- 12.1" screen, 1366x768, 16:9.
- Windows 7 Home Premium x32 (i'd put 7ultimate or XpPro (both x64) on but i'm too lazy risking 2hours looking for drivers ^^)
- Intel Atom 1.8GHz, which has 2 cores (!!), each core 512KB L2 cache (L2=FullSpeed), 32k L1, 2 threads/core.
- Dual-GPU (I can choose per program!):
- Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 (256MB, shared)
- Intel Ion 2 (512MB, probably shared)
- Hynix 2x1GB DDR3 SD-RAM, 667MHz, 64bits.
- Intefaces: 3xUSB2.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 (ethernet), cardreader (don't ask me what cards, for all i care it could read a deck of playing cards xD)
- Bluetooth
- WLAN 802.11n
- Some bad webcam, didn't check yet
- same for mic, builtin so can't be good
- The standard keyboard for small laptops, but it types quite nicely - for a laptop...
I like it pretty much, and when running on the ION2 GPU I can run openarena-oasago2 around 30-120FPS!
(800x600, low settings). Which is enough to play but not really good. Also the 4 graphs in task manager look pretty neat, my quadcore also has 4
Got no
floppy Cd/Dvd-drive, but I won't use it. ISO's ftw
Also the keys have a bit of room between them, which is annoying, but I'll get used to it. Keys themselves type nice at least, though I still have the feeling that some frustrating games won't be very constructive for it =D
*looks at the time*
**** that late yet.. Gotta get up quite early tomorrow morning, and then have a first meeting with someone who i'm gonna build a website for. And that's the first time someone I don't know asks me for a website so im quite nervous about doing well, 3hrs sleep aren't gonna help
