I got internet on my cell phone (or mobile phone) so I can surf for €10 per month as much as I want  But the nasty old thing doesn't support some things modern webpages need*, but SMF forums support a plain text only forum instead of all the stuff you see here. It looks like this, and works really well. Now we got an SMF forum (instead of PHPbb or clansites' own forum) I can post from anywhere instead of only from my pc *it only supports xml, html and css.. which are just markup languages, not even close to scripting and interactive webpages. Usually everything is done in your browser and then input you type is delivered to SMF. In that mobile-mode it does everything on the server, only displaying the text with some links, colors and a textbox for input. I made this post after I went off the computer from my phone, and I knew Whipper always stays up pretty late. So that's why I said hi to him  (look at the times from the posts) |

While backupping the forum, or making a start on it already (have some huge boards to do this night), I noticed this is topic number 2! 1 is not available anymore, probably was some welcome topic forums always have by default ("welcome to your new forum!"). No idea why i bring this up though. Just cool to see i guess edit: lol weird topic 0 just returns a contentless page, no error or topic or whatsoever  edit2: ok one of our smallest boards done: 1292 pages downloaded and saved. |
